Kevin Hupe - Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Vocals

Kevin Hupe comes to Funk Syndicate from a variety of backgrounds including Jazz, Classical, Blues, Rock and of course Funk! Kevin began his playing career at the age of 16 and has been performing ever since.  He studied at Berklee College of Music where he had the privilege to study with jazz greats such as Greg Hopkins, Phil Wilson and Hal Crook.  Kevin has performed all over the Midwest, Northeast and while at Berklee had the opportunity to perform internationally as well.  For the last several years, Kevin has been a teacher in the Kansas public schools and is currently working to finish his Doctorate of Musical Arts at UMKC.
